Hey guys, Today I want to talk about the computer competency skill test . This test is the same test that has stop eighth graders from receiving their diploma. So what type of test is this and how long has this test been in place? Also will Guilford county continue to give the test? According this News and record article I came across by J. Brain, Ewing. Ewing says that over 1,105 out of 5,395 students failed the computer competency skills test. Ewing also finds that this test has been in place since 1996. So I want to know what has changed since then? Is it the amount of information or is it how long the students have to prepare? Please let me know your thoughts on this issue. Here is there link to the article please let me know what you think.

Teachers and BLOGGING
The world of blogging is so renowned that we use it for every thing now from expressing personal opinions to the discussing the latest tweet from a senator. I wanted to discuss how blogging has made an impact on the world of education and how teachers themselves express themselves through blogging. First time teachers are the best person for blogging, because they are sharing there first time unforgettable experiences of becoming an educator. For example the first time a student chooses to act out in the classroom, not using the child's the teacher may in fact talk about that on their blog. Another way teachers using blogs is sharing ideas with other teachers. This allows teachers to build relationships with other teachers and a stronger confidence in teaching.
